Joining a Remote podcast Recording
Dear Guest,
We’re delighted to have you on the podcast! Detailed instructions on how to join the recording are outlined below, and it may be useful to watch the short video beforehand.
Before the Recording
Use Google Chrome on a Computer
Ensure you're using the latest version of Google Chrome on a laptop or desktop.
Riverside works best on Chrome; other browsers may not be supported.
Set Up Your Audio and Video
Microphone: Use an external microphone or a headset with a built-in mic, if possible, for better sound quality.
Camera: Use a good-quality webcam or your computer's built-in camera.
Prepare Your Environment
Choose a quiet, well-lit room. If possible, please avoid sitting with a window behind, but rather to the side or in front.
Turn off fans, air conditioners, and other noise-making devices.
Close Unnecessary Applications
Shut down apps like email, chat programmes, and cloud sync services (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive) to optimise performance.
Disable VPNs, as they can affect your internet speed.
Disable Notifications
Turn on "Do Not Disturb" mode on your computer and phone to avoid interruptions.
